Cindy Scott is a proud lesbian woman whose political advocacy, including news and radio appearances, is motivated by her childhood experiences of institutionalization. A straight shooter, she has a way of directly and passionately working to raise awareness about the injustice of institutionalization, and the living, still painful and traumatic legacy Huronia has left. Cindy is incredibly mindful of people in positions of vulnerability and who have before been silenced, evident in her tireless efforts to speak on behalf of those buried on Huronia grounds in unmarked graves.
