| Description | How do we define security? Does security mean increased surveillance and weaponization? Is it the feeling of home and belonging? This research consisted of a qualitative case study analysis that sought to address the contentious issues surrounding homelessness and public safety in a mid-size urban community in British Columbia, Canada. The goal of the project was twofold: to create a fact-based counter-narrative on the experiences of homelessness and community sasfety and security, and to think about strategies to address these demographc and social changes while fostering community resilience. |
